If you’ve landed on this page, you’re likely figuring out how much wallpaper you need and we’re here to make that process simple and stress‑free. Below is everything you need to know before placing your order.
Understanding Our Wallpaper Panels
All of our wallpapers are installed in panels, designed to align seamlessly from left to right. Panels are applied from the top of the wall downward, meeting edge‑to‑edge as you move across your space.
- Peel + Stick wallpaper is installed with a slight overlap
- Traditional wallpaper is installed straight across with no overlap
Panel Sizes
- Width: 24 inches
- Lengths available: 96", 108", 120", 132"
Step 1: Measure Your Wall
To determine how many panels you need, measure the full width and height of your wall in inches.
Once you have your measurements, you can use our Wallpaper Calculator to confirm your quantities.
And yes — double‑checking your measurements is always a good idea.
Why Ordering Extra Matters
We always recommend ordering a little extra wallpaper. Extra material allows room for trimming and ensures a smooth installation.
Because our wallpaper is made to order, ordering everything you need in one batch helps avoid color variances between separate print runs.
While you can add to an existing order later, we cannot guarantee perfect color matching between different production batches.
Decision Time: Peel + Stick or Traditional?
Once you’ve measured your wall, choose your wallpaper type. Remember:
- Peel + Stick width: 24 inches
- Traditional width: 24 inches
How to Calculate Your Panel Count
Divide your wall width by 24
Then, and this part is important you need to round up to the nearest whole number. That final number is the number of panels/rolls you’ll need.
Next, choose the panel length that matches (or exceeds) your wall height.
Tip: If you’re unsure, choose the next length up.
Measuring Walls With Obstacles
For walls with windows, doors, or other features, measure the wall as if it were a full rectangle:
- Measure the entire width
- Measure the full height
During installation, you’ll apply the wallpaper normally and trim around obstacles once your placement is set.
Shorter Walls or Custom Heights
If your wall height is shorter than our stocked panel lengths, you may prefer a custom order. Custom panels can be pre‑cut to your exact height, making installation easier and eliminating excess trimming.

Vaulted or Slanted Ceilings
For angled walls:
1) Measure the entire width of the wall
2) Measure the tallest point of the wall
It’s best to treat the wall as one full rectangle when ordering. During installation, you’ll trim away the angled sections once the wallpaper is in place.
This applies to:
- Vaulted ceilings
- Slanted ceilings
- Angled architectural features
