The Ultimate Powder Room Makeover
Powder rooms are meant to make a design statement. They’re notoriously small, but its a perfect place to make your design fantasies a reality, like graphic tile, fabulous fixtures, or wallpaper with serious wow-factor. Read on for our tricks to help you design your dream powder room.
Turn a wall into a piece of art: Anita Lall must have had so much fun finding this pink floral wallpaper from Timberlea Interiors for her project. It provides the illusion of an eternally sweet-smelling space.
Brass is the new gold: dynamic floral-effect wallpaper is offset with a brass faucet and vanity to add a subtle hit of chic style.
Add drama with a statement light fixture: luxurious touches, like fluted glass wall sconce, will feel elegant and oh-so-glam.
Introduce a concrete sink to the mix: add a sleek modern touch to your space with a beautiful concrete sink from Kast Concrete Basins. For our design, we have chosen the Elm sink which comes in a wide range of colours. Its sightly fluted front gives character while bringing an art deco touch to any interior.
Add a touch of glam with black and white tiles: if you're using a minimal bathroom colour palette, a good way to break up solid colours without introducing a new colour is with pattern, such as this geometric floor tile. It adds great visual interest, plays with scale, and breaks up large solid surfaces.
It truly doesn't matter what size the room is - a small space like the powder room can make a big statement in your home.
